چکیده
Objective: To determine the frequency of high serum high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) level in pre-eclampsia women. Study Design: Cross-sectional study. Setting: Department Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Bahawalpur Medical Dental College, Bahawalpur. Period: October 2022 to February 2023. Material & Methods: A total 206 women aged between 20-35 years with singleton pregnancy, gestational age >20 weeks, any parity, were analyzed. High hs-CRP was defined as when above 7.0mg/L. The patient diagnosed she had systolic blood pressure ≥140mmHg, measured at two different intervals after 20 weeks pregnancy proteinuria (200 mg or more per 24-hour period) by laboratory test. noted. Results: In a females, mean 29.69±3.12 while 120 (58.3%) 18-30 years. parity 27.83±2.64 2.65±1.44 respectively. Frequency noted 135 (65.5%) females pre-eclampsia. It found that (p=0.686), (0.253) (p=0.927) not having statistically significant association hs-CRP. BMI have (p<0.001). Conclusion: maternal very among

Maternal Serum C- Reactive Protein Concentration in Gestational Diabetes
OBJECTIVE: Low-grade systemic inflammation is associated with an increased risk of type 2 diabetes. C-Reactive Protein (CRP), an acute phase protein produced by hepatocytes, may be associated with diabetes. This study aimed to compare serum levels of CRP in women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM), impaired glucose tolerance test and control subjects. MATERIALS AND METHODS: In this ca...

Background & Objective: There are many common infections and inflammations among people over the world. This demands an affordable and reliable test with high sensitivity/specificity to predict or confirm the diagnosis of such cases in routinely clinical practice. In the present study, we aimed to find any potential correlation between serum levels of GGT and CRP- Q and/or hs- CRP and ...

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the serum C-reactive protein (CRP) and lipid profile in women with pre-eclampsia. MATERIALS AND METHODS Thirty-five women with and 35 women without pre-eclampsia, who were in the 3rd trimester of pregnancy, were enrolled in this study. Weight in kilogrammes and height in metres were measured to calculate the mean body mass index (BMI) for each group. The diastolic and sy...
